I don't know the secret to making a lot of money on blogs. I've only been trying what others have been suggesting to do. Some have achieved success at it, while others have failed. One thing I do know --- blogging for money isn't instantly rewarding. In most cases, it is frustrating. It's not something you should quit your jobs for. You've got to work for it, too.
PPC or Pay Per Click:
pay per click (PPC) - online advertising payment model in which payment is based solely on qualifying click-thrus. | Via
Advantages:
- Easy to set up and put up on blog. You just sign up, submit a few information, get the codes and install.
- There's no major risk in putting it there, you get a few chance of earning a few dollars with it on your blog.
- Requires traffic to convert good CTR (Click Through Rates or the average number of click-throughs per hundred ad impressions, expressed as a percentage). If you're site has little traffic, it will take time to earn $.
- Revenue is unpredictable. Some days you get really high earnings for just one click, other days you get 20 clicks yet earn only $1.
- Risk of termination and banning from the service (invalid clicking, Terms of Service violation, etc)
- Some of these only take or pay for USA traffic.
- Some require direct bank deposit or some other form of payment not applicable to you.
PPC Sites: Adsense, AdBrite, Bidvertiser, Clicksor, Kontera, Yahoo Publisher Network, among other things. Research these sites first before signing up. Here's a site that breaks down these PPC ads. Read all about it.
